The World Restaurant Guide is a one-stop-shop for the best restaurant guides of the world.
Just select the region that interests you, then click on the city of your choice. You will be presented with the restaurant guide that we have selected as the most comprehensive for that city. Wherever possible, the guide will also be independent of restaurant advertising.
WRG attempts to locate the best site available for every major city of the world. Unfortunately in some locations that choice is very limited. We have very high ideals for restaurant guides, and only a handful come up to that:
- Comprehensive restaurant listings
- Indexed by different cuisine type
- Organised by geographical districts
- Cuisine/district cross indexed
- Some text description with most of the listings
- In-depth reviews for a substantial number of restaurants.
Sometimes the name of a country, or island, instead of a city, appears in WRG. This has been done when the best restaurant guide covers a number of cities, as in the case of the ones for both Jamaica and Bali. In other cases a website was located that would give the first time visitor a good introduction to the food of that region, e.g. Sudan, Lebanon. So there may be listings for both a country and cities within it.
Any knowledge that you already have before arriving in a new city / country is always invaluable. Browse through our site, and print out anything that you need to take with you on your travels.
